Tile & Flooring Installation

Most tile failures are floor failures, and most floor failures start before the tile shows up.

If the substrate has a dip of a quarter inch over ten feet, the tile will crack at the grout joints no matter how good the tile is or how carefully it was set. Concrete slabs in Florida move. Plywood subfloors flex. Neither one is flat just because it looks flat.

So we check it, and we level it, and only then do we start setting tile.

We do not install carpet.

Large format tile is less forgiving than small tile, not more. A 24-inch plank shows every high spot in the slab underneath it. If someone quotes you large format without talking about floor prep, that is worth a second conversation.
